1. About These Terms

These Website Terms of Use govern your access to and use of the Work Stays website and platform at www.work-stays.co.uk, operated by Workstays Eur Ltd (Company No. 17125585) of 1 Larkspur Close, Hartlepool, Durham, TS26 0WD ("We", "Us", "Our"). By accessing or using the site you agree to these Terms. These Terms are separate from, and additional to, the Host Terms & Conditions and Guest Terms & Conditions that govern bookings.

2. Using the Platform

2.1 You may use the platform only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms.

2.2 You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure and for all activity under your account. You must notify us immediately of any unauthorised use.

2.3 Information and listings on the platform are provided to facilitate bookings between Hosts and Guests. We are a disclosed intermediary and are not the provider of the accommodation.

3. Acceptable Use

You must not:

• Use the platform in any way that is unlawful, fraudulent or harmful, or in connection with any unlawful purpose.
• Provide false, misleading or inaccurate information, or impersonate any person or organisation.
• Attempt to gain unauthorised access to the platform, its servers, or any connected system or data.
• Introduce viruses, malware or other malicious code, or otherwise interfere with the proper working of the platform.
• Scrape, harvest or extract data from the platform without our written consent, or use it to build a competing service.
• Circumvent the platform in breach of the non-circumvention provisions in the Host or Guest Terms & Conditions.

4. Intellectual Property

4.1 All intellectual property rights in the platform, including its design, text, graphics, software and branding (other than content you provide), belong to Us or our licensors.

4.2 You may use the platform for its intended purpose but may not copy, reproduce, distribute or create derivative works from any part of it without our written permission.

4.3 Where you submit content (such as property listings, descriptions or images), you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to use it for the purpose of operating and promoting the platform, and you warrant that you have the right to grant that licence.

5. Availability and Changes

5.1 We aim to keep the platform available but do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free access. We may suspend, withdraw or restrict all or part of the platform for business or operational reasons.

5.2 We may update these Terms and the platform from time to time. The version in force is published on the site.

6. Suspension and Termination

6.1 We may suspend or terminate your access to the platform with immediate effect if you breach these Terms, the Host or Guest Terms & Conditions, or where we reasonably suspect misuse or unlawful activity.

7. Liability

7.1 Nothing in these Terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything that cannot lawfully be limited.

7.2 Subject to that, we provide the platform "as is", and to the extent permitted by law we exclude liability for any loss of profit, business or goodwill, or any indirect or consequential loss, arising from your use of or inability to use the platform.

8. Governing Law

8.1 These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction.
